BRANTFORD REGULAR GARBAGE COLLECTION:

Garbage Collection Inquiries, Contractor: 519-756-4444

A maximum of five containers or bags per household will be collected each week. Each container must weigh less than 25 kg (55lbs). Be sure to have garbage to the curb by 7:00 am but not before 7:00 pm the night before.


BRANTFORD CALL IT IN - BULKY MATERIALS DISPOSAL:

Bulk Pick-Up Appointments & Inquiries, Contractor: 519-759-0070

Bulky materials are collected individually at curbside, up to a maximum of two times a year. Residents arrange bulky material pick-up, once between the months of January to June and once between the months of July to December. Residents are required to call and give 7 calendar days notice to the City’s contractor to receive bulky pick-up service. Collection will occur on your regularly scheduled garbage day. Please have bulky materials out before 7:00 am on the morning of your regular garbage collections.


MOHAWK LANDFILL SITE INFORMATION:

Mohawk Landfill Site Inquiries, City Hall: 519-759-1350

Monday to Saturday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Closed Sundays, Christmas Day & New Year’s Day
All loads 200 kg (440 lbs.) or less are $3.00 each landfill visit. Unlimited visits per year now available. Any loads over 200 kg or beyond small load exemption are charged the applicable tipping fee rate.


CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION

Christmas tree collection will take place from January 2 to 12, 2007
Christmas trees are shredded into wood chips and used as mulch. Be sure to remove all decorations, tree skirts and plastic tree bags. Bundle any loose branches and garland with cord (not wire) and place the bundle beside your Christmas tree.
